Ulster Ave Corridor Study

The Town of Ulster is participating with the City of Kingston in an Ulster County sponsored study of the Albany Ave / Ulster Ave corridor from the Traffic Circle in the City to the overpass in the Town.

The study requires the formation of a Technical Advisory Committee made up of interested parties in the corridor. Members of the Technical Advisory Committee will be asked to provide key input on their experiences travelling in the corridor (traffic safety, delay, level of comfort, etc.).  The TAC will also be asked to provide insight regarding how we can improve the public engagement process to reach as many area travelers as possible.  It is also extremely beneficial when our TAC members can assist with outreach to utilize their own contacts within the community to help promote our meetings, surveys and other events.  Once we have developed draft materials, TAC members will be asked to provide preliminary review and input before the materials are made available to the public.

The TAC will have roughly 4 meetings over the course of this 12-month project; the first meeting has not yet been scheduled.  Meetings will likely be virtual but held during regular business hours.  Other TAC members include (but are not limited to): Ulster County Planning, Kingston Engineering, Town of Ulster Hose, Town of Ulster Police, Chambers Elementary, and project consultants.

Parties interested in participating on the TAC are encouraged to submit their names to the Town Supervisor’s Office for consideration at ulstersupervisor@townofulster.ny.gov
