Town of Ulster Comprehensive Plan Committee

The Town of Ulster is pleased to announce that the Town Board is now seeking residents interested in serving on its newly formed Comprehensive Planning Committee (CPC). This vital committee will play a key role in guiding the town’s future growth and development through active participation in the comprehensive planning process. The current plan was adopted in 2007, you can access it HERE.

The CPC will have up to 15 members in total, with at least half of the seats held by residents of the Town who are not currently a member of the Town’s various boards or a Town employee.

Members of the Comprehensive Planning Committee (CPC) are expected to actively attend and participate in at least one meeting each month for a period of up to sixteen (16) months. In addition to these regular meetings, there may be extra sessions scheduled, especially during times when public hearings or focus groups are taking place. Throughout the
comprehensive planning process, committee members should plan to devote approximately four to six hours per month to CPC responsibilities. The dedication and engagement of each member is essential to ensuring the successful completion of this important project.
